These terms govern your use of Maryland Busted Mugshots, a privately run guide to Maryland booking, court, and custody resources. By browsing or using a feature, you agree to follow these rules. If you do not accept them, stop using the site. They set limits for site content and partner tools, but do not change the rules a county, court, or search provider sets for its own records and services. Maryland law governs your use of this site.

Maryland Busted Mugshots is privately operated and is not part of or affiliated with a government office, sheriff, police department, jail, court, or corrections agency. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provide services covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The pages explain where public arrest and booking-photo resources may be found in Maryland; they do not make this site a private-investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Scope of This Maryland Guide

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. We do not hold or host official booking, court, or custody records; we cannot confirm a person's custody status, release anyone, or file paperwork for a visitor.

The site organizes statewide information and points readers toward the county or city that handled a booking, DPSCS for state custody, and the Judiciary for case information. Public-record access from an agency is governed by the Maryland Public Information Act, including General Provisions §§4-101 and 4-201 through 4-203, along with exceptions such as §4-351 and any other applicable law. The agency that holds a record decides a request under its governing rules.

Rules for Site Use

  • Use the pages only in ways permitted by law.
  • Do not use a name or record to threaten, harass, stalk, or target another person.
  • Do not rely on site information to make a decision covered by the FCRA.
  • Do not try to enter systems, accounts, or data without authorization.

No FCRA Use

Maryland Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not provide consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our partners do not provide screening services through this site. You agree not to use any site information for a purpose covered by the FCRA, including:

  • decisions about hiring, firing, or continued work;
  • tenant or housing eligibility;
  • creditworthiness or insurance eligibility or pricing;
  • licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility; or
  • any other use regulated by the FCRA.

Links to Other Organizations

Links may lead to Maryland county rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, local site pages, legal resources, or independent search tools. Those organizations set their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, records, handling of data, or availability; review their policies before using them.

Information Provided As Is

All pages and tools are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that they will be:

  • accurate, complete, or current;
  • available without interruption;
  • free of errors, defects, or security weaknesses; or

Custody information and public records change. Nothing on this site is an official statement by a Maryland sheriff, police department, court, or other government agency.

Ownership of Site Material

Maryland law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court located in Maryland.

Severability

If a court finds a term invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in effect. The affected language will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
